Leeds is well served by motorway and train. The train station

is within (15 minutes) walking distance of the pool.

The pool is 50M, eight lane. There are anti-wave lane lines. There is no deep end. Starting is done from both ends. For 100M events and longer, it is done from the west end. For 50M events it is done from the east end (shown below).

There is a diving pit that is used for warm-up and swim-down during sessions.

Facilities: Car Parking

Parking in the pool car park has been free, but last year it was pay. The normal car park is not adequate for all the competitors, so on-road pay and display car parking is also used. This is free on Sunday.

Facilities: Catering

The cafeteria is at basement level. There is a selection of drinks, rolls, sandwiches, cakes and the usual prepackaged foods.

Facilities: Seating

The triangular arrangements of seating extend along the four sides (see photo) and is not directly accessible to swimmers unless they go out to the foyer and up the stairs. There is no shortage of spectator seating as the pool was designed for major competitions.

Facilities: Other

There is usually a swim shop and raffle in the foyer on the first floor.
