The Gurnell Centre is situated in some sports grounds.
It is approached by some impressive steps
and Entrance.
Facilities: Pool
The Gurnell Centre houses a 50m pool divided in two by an (immovable) boom that makes two 25m pools.
There is also another pool in the Centre (behind these windows).
The competition pool is 25M, Six Lane. There are anti-wave lane lines.
The deep end is at the centre boom.
Facilities: Car Parking
The main car park is adequate for all the competitors and spectators. The Car parking charge is 20p per two hours.
The other car park to the East is for staff only and non-staff using it will get ticketed.
Facilities: Catering
The cafeteria is at first floor level with direct access from the spectators balcony. It is cooler than poolside. There is a limited selection of drinks, rolls, sandwiches, cakes and the usual prepackaged foods.
Facilities: Seating
The seating extends along the south side and is directly accessible to swimmers.
There are large windows on the east side overlooking the playing fields.
Facilities: Other
There is a swim shop to be found in the foyer.
